“Stamina” Definitely Required for Perfect Red! 💄
Where to start this? A lot to pack in!Generally speaking, because we can’t post a separate review for each color that we’ve tried, NYX XXL Matte is fan-freaking-tastic!! Especially for the price. Is it perfect? Not 100%, but it’s darn close. IMHO, the only things that could be improved are the transfer factor (more on that in a minute) and the amount of colors they have. Meaning, they don’t have nearly enough! 🤨😁To clarify what I meant about improving the longevity, immediately I must say this product is actually quite excellent at loving me for a long time! Ha, ha! In the drugstore, it’s my #2 favorite. Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink is the almost-identical twin to NYX XXL, but it rates much lower on the performance scale. Maybelline has a ton of colors! The two brands even smell the same. I wish the experience had been the opposite, believe me. Yet, if I could only buy one of the two, without question, it would be NYX!When the colors are fairly equal, (like NYX’s Stamina vs. Maybelline’s Pioneer or NYX’s Deep Mesh vs. Maybelline’s Composer, for two examples) there isn’t a hesitation which to reach for because I know NYX isn’t going to embarrass me later in the day. In fact, Stamina lasted overnight! It had faded a little bit in the center of both lips when I got out of bed the next morning, but it was still decidedly visible. And it was only visible on my face, not on the pillowcase! 😲Longevity has always been my #1 criteria. To provide my personal scale of context, Revlon Overtime Lip Color (the original) wins my #1 drugstore spot. It doesn’t budge an iota unless I take it off with oil or remover or eat a slew of greasy cheeseburgers! NYX still needs (a little bit of) improvement to equal that performance. NYX XXL doesn’t have a partner gloss. FYI, I tend not to use Revlon’s either.Getting back to the ranch. NYX XXL is super pigmented, super creamy, smells utterly delicious (like angel food cupcakes) and has a large, terry-like doe foot applicator. It applies like a dream! The applicator is particularly excellent, makes it very easy to add shape correction, enhancement, whatever effect you might want. Liner is mostly rendered useless unless you have a special need or a specific look you’re trying to achieve. I would suggest exfoliating lips prior to use, and also making sure they are hydrated, but not greasy on or around their surface.Afterwards, I find it best to keep my lips open and separated until they fully dry, maybe two or three minutes. Then it’s all-day gorgeous! 🪞💄

Such a beautiful satin matte lipstick! Also has this amazing smell that reminds me of cotton candy! Stays for over 12 hours!

Actually transfer proof, not sticky, comfortable
Didn’t expect much from this, but I was pleasantly surprised that it stayed on after eating something fatty. Like there was some erosion towards the inside of my lips but that’s normal. It is a true matte. Very comfortable. Even rubbed my lips accidentally and it didn’t smudge (I got the black too). Scent is kind of a strong vanilla but it was fine. It doesn’t linger. Not sticky at all like the Maybelline Matte Ink. Even Urban Decay Lip Bond which I know is glossy and not matte clumps up on me and smears with slight friction despite being higher end. Really can’t go wrong with this one.

Perfect at first, but degrades with time.
This lipstick was absolutely perfect, at first. Love the way it feels on my lips, don’t feel it at all. Not dry, not cakey, not sticky, doesn’t dry into clumps. Feels like velvet putting on and dries pretty quickly, but not too quickly – easy to fix line errors unlike others. Once dry does not smudge. Easy to wipe off teeth if it gets on there. Excellent color, lasts several hours, without color change. Minimal lip staining after removal. Minimal transfer on beverages. Moderate transfer when eating food that contains fat, but this doesn’t smudge it like it does others. Just gets removed from lips. OK, so what I don’t like is that after owning this for a mere 2 months, it’s rapidly becoming harder to apply in an even way and with crisp lines. I use it exactly once a week. It seems the liquid is starting to dry out and get goopy in the tube. This is disappointing! But I suppose at the low price point, it’s acceptable. The only other liquid no-transfer lipstick I’ve used is Anastasia and those are crappier and more expensive, but I will say some of them will maintain the same quality as new, years into their life, and they are easier to apply and do so with clean lines than this.

Amazing
Bought this after reading about it online, it lasts for so much longer than I was expecting. It has a nice, cosmetic scent, applying feels amazing, it glides right on. After it dries, it does not budge unless you apply something over it. It is very pigmented, absolutely recommend, it is also a big size for its price, so I am certain that it will last forever.

Best lipstick ever
This is my go too black lipstick. I apply 2 coats , dry for at least 3 minutes. It’s not sticky, having sensory issues I can’t stand that sticky feeling some long wear lipstick. Drive me crazy if u have to reapply. Also has a nice matte finish. I can eat pasta ,burgers and it’s still on. It will last all day .

I LOVE THIS LIPSTICK 💄
I LOVE this lipstick I’ve been using it for about a year give or take. Every color is super pretty especially this red perfect for the holidays. NYX lingerie lipstick stays on for hours and hours unless you put gloss on over it then it doesn’t last very long.. but if you want a long lasting matte lipstick this is the one

Pretty good
This is amazing! It slides right on your lips and it’s so dark. It is pretty sticky before it dries and after a while of using it though it does come off it doesn’t stay all that well after a couple hours. But it does feel like very good quality while applying and the look of the matte black color.

Im only rating this 1 star because i have to! This lippie is JOT BROWN. Its a faded orange almost nude. I am not happy that i spent 14.00 on this because i needed this for a photoshoot. Now i cant even use it
