Amazon Essentials womens Lightweight Water-Resistant Packable Hooded Puffer Coat (Available in Plus Size)

Nice coat, good quality
Very nice coat, comparable to 32 degrees. Medium warmth, lightweight and great color. I would have loved larger pockets and the zipper takes some finagling to catch at first but I really like the coat.

It’s great! And cheap
This jacket was God sent while we were in Ireland. It literally rolls up into a tiny ball that can easily be traveled with. I just hooked it on the outside of my carry-on and it was pretty small. It was warm! I can’t believe it’s not more expensive than it is. I had a little bit of a tricky situation with a zipper. It is double zipper! Meaning you can unzip from the bottom or the top. Those are always tricky. That would be my only complaint, but it only took me a few tries and then I got the hang of it. I am a small and it fit me perfectly. I’m 5’8” and 125 pounds. I would say order whatever size you normally wear. Up a size if you plan to wear sweatshirts underneath.

Ok for Spring/Fall.
This is advertised as lightweight and it certainly is that. It is NOT a winter jacket unless you live somewhere warm. This will work for Minnesota Fall / Spring evenings that aren’t too windy and I like that because I always struggle finding good ‘in between’ jackets that are long enough to cover my backside and have nice hoods. This jacket has both of those assets. I usually wear an XL or size 12-14 in women’s clothing and this fits nicely with room to spare for a layer beneath. Another nice feature is that the zipper goes nice and high to keep your neck warm. You could easily rock a cozy gaiter beneath and keep your neck pretty toasty. I have to say though, this doesn’t have the feel of a sturdy jacket. I dare say it won’t take much more than rubbing up against a tree or something to tear this fabric, so as I am not the most graceful person sometimes, it won’t likely last long. At this price I wasn’t expecting it to be built like my name brand winter gear, but I was a bit surprised at how thin the outer fabric feels. BUT….I’m actively losing weight and hopefully next Fall this thing will be too large and I won’t feel bad about having trashed it while tromping around outdoors. All in all, it’s a decent enough jacket if you are wanting something cozy, lightweight, long and with a great hood. I would imagine that if you lived somewhere with mild winters this could get you by well enough as a winter jacket. For what I paid I’m content and will be busting it out very soon in the mornings to wear to work when the grass starts getting frosty.

Love this coat!
Outstanding poppie red color. Not easy to find a coat with this color. I’m wearing an x-large size of this coat even though I’m only 5’4” 130#s. I have plenty of room for an additional layer if necessary. So soft and super lightweight. I suspect that a plastic lining is a layer that is sewn into the quilting and that explains how warm it can be. At times, I have to unzip it to vent out the accumulated heat but I’m fine with that. The hood is large enough to lightly pull over my head when there’s no wind but can easily be secured by tying a scarf around one’s neck. And, it is water resistant so mist and drizzly rain beads up. I have received sooo many compliments about this coat which of course just adds to its desirability. The only caveat is that you must exactly line up the zipper so that it closes properly which is not a problem for me. You just can’t be in a hurry and expect it to zip right up I’m guessing cold to warm water machine wash but only air dry this coat.Bottom line—I’m very happy with this coat!

Zipper didn’t work great for me
The zipper is hard to insert / fasten after a couple months of use. Otherwise satisfied with color, zippers on pockets, portability, and warmth! (The zipper takes 3-5 times to latch on, is the worst part)

Great outer layer piece for inclement weather!
I bought this coat in pink (no longer available) in November 2022. This is my go-to outerwear when Spring & Fall are chilly and windy. Plus I wear it to walk my dog all winter. I am 5’3″ and 130-135#, I definitely could wear a medium, but since where I lived then did not have decent HVAC, I wore thermal shirts/pants and sweatshirts, fleece, or sweaters all day for comfort. This fit perfectly over my layers!! What do I LOVE about it? It is lighweight, has large zippered pockets, the zipper zips up from the bottom for ease of sitting and zips high enough at the top to cover my neck, and best of all, there is comfortable elastic around the hood face so that the hood does not blow off. I wear it in rain and snow and have yet to get wet inside. This has held up well and I am buying a second this season. I get lots of compliments on this coat!! Now which color this time?
