Great sun protection, adjustable fit
I purchased this hat for a vacation that included time spent on the water. It held up well and stayed on during a speedboat ride and on the open top bus, as well as providing sun protection walking around town in direct sun. It’s packable (lays flat), light, has an adjustable strap, and can be spot cleaned as needed. I plan to use it on future trips.

Ok, cool, too floppy
It’s comfortable and cool, but like many other have stated the brim is a bit too floppy, especially in any sort of breeze.

Protection from the sun with comfort
This hat is light weight, breathable and covers my head, neck and ears very well from the sun while outdoors. It fits well and looks cool too. My has size is 7-1/8. Fairly priced. As far as durability goes, it’s too soon to tell.

Good hat, terrible packaging
The hat is fine, but the packing is terrible. Columbia made a great hat, but it arrived in a bag totally crushed with a huge crease in the brim. Amazon really dropped the ball. I had to wash it against label recommendations and then iron the brim and I’m still not sure it will hold. I may just return it.

Back of the hat is somewhat floppy and slightly angled to protect your neck from the harsh sun. The sides and front are reasonably firm, I can jump up and down without excessively moving, it doesn’t obscure my vision at all. Draw cord to tighten to head.Good quality, I prefer this over my Northface Booney hat, so it’ll be difficult to find a better Booney hat.Price x Quality x Expectations I’ll give it 5 star (I’m a very fussy buyer and return many products) so 5 star is an excellent rating. If any problems occur than I’ll add additional comments in future.

My goto hat for strong sunshine, great lightweight wide brim hat with mesh sidewall for extra breathability, shock cord adjustment for fit, chin strap for strong winds, the only thing it needs is side fasteners for pinning the side brim out of the way, (it is a personal thing.)But truly, Columbia have created (So far) the best hot weather wide brimmed hat I have tried.
