Definitely flexible enough. Bends very easily and then goes right back into shape when in a different position. Love this hat for keeping the sun off my face and shoulders.

How fordable or crushable is it for packing on long hot trip with many times it will be stuffed in suitcase?

It folds flat and then pops back into shape. In my opinion, it’s definitely worth taking with you if you’re going to a hot climate.
