Well thought out selection, great quality, about a couple of minor issues.
The set is adorable, the notebooks, highlighters, pens and pencils all fit the same soft color theme. The notebooks are well-bound, so the pages do not fall out easily. The size of the pages is large enough to fit my notes, but the notebook itself is small enough to fit in my bag easily. I love little folder on the inside of the cover, I can tuck in notes to myself or other little reminders. There is not a way to close the folder to keep things from popping out, so if I fold the papers in half before sliding them in they stay fine. The pens have a bold black gel that slides easily on the paper, and the paper is thick enough, so the ink does not bleed through, and the cap fits tightly on the pens until ready to use.I love the double-headed highlighters. I’m able to make thin lines or small prints, but the chiseled edge works great for larger, and the variety of colors allows me to see the print below the ink easily. When I’m taking notes, there are plenty of options available for both writing and the paper to use. There’s even a black permanent marker that has a double edge as well, so I can cross out or notate in even small spaces clearly.The sticky notes are not thin or cheap paper at all, they have a good amount of glue to them so they stay put even on the wall. I have not had any of them peel off at the corner for off of the sackn. The pages are thick enough so even the black marker doesn’t bleed through to the other side.After using these for a while, I’ve used every notebook, color of highlighter, and accessory that came with this set. So there are a few parts less than perfect. The first issue I had was taking the pens out to use them. Two of them were already leaking ink before I even took the tip off. There are plenty of pens, so I was able to use a different one, but because these are such nice pens it was a shame to see two of them already having trouble. The other issue was with the highlighters. Two of the highlighters were already starting to dry out before the first use. The ink was barely visible, so I had to go over it a couple of of times to be seen. The other highlighters have a nice soft tint and write smoothly, but these were excessively light and dragged.Overall, the good outweigh the bad. The set is a great collection for anyone who likes to take notes. The set is not cheap-looking at all, the color palette is soft and complementary to each other. This is a great gift idea, especially if it’s a gift to yourself.
