Best Purchase Ever!
This has to be the best purchase in a decade for me. I had no idea how much I would love this hat when I bought it. I originally purchased it because I was wearing a weave about the size of Diana Ross hair and needed a hat to fit it. Although I removed the weave and now have normal size hair again, I still wear this hat frequently. It’s perfect for driving when I want the sunroof open but don’t want the sun blazing on my face. Because the visor is narrow in the back, it allows me to rest my head against the seat. But it’s also convenient and stylish. I’m about to buy a few more in various colors now that I see how much protection this visor provides and how cute it looks whether dressing up or down. It’s so easy to roll up and fit in a purse and pop back on when I go back outside.

I never knew this type of visor/hat existed, but once I saw it, I knew I had to have it.I’m 27 and I take sun protection seriously. I use a variety of products which make my skin extra sensitive to the sun (like tretinoin). Additionally, I am very pale and want to avoid sun damage. The fact that this hat rolls up is invaluable to me. I like to walk to the stores and wanted protection while I am out on sunny days. I was hesitant to buy a sun hat because I couldn’t imagine lugging it around in the store with me. This visor/hat is the perfect solution. I can stuff it into my purse or keep it in my car for impromptu picnics or walks in the park.THIS HAT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR SUNSCREEN. Yes, it is rated UPF 50+ (it came with a tag that said so), but UV rays can reflect off of surfaces and hit your face. It creates a bit of shade and helps you avoid direct sun. It’s not too big or too small; it creates just the right amount of shade.The tag states it is 75% paper and 25% polyester. I compared it to other brands of visor hats in stores and I think this is well worth paying a few dollars extra for. It is a pliable material that holds its shape. Other, cheaper hats seemed floppier and less nice looking.This hat looks pretty good; I don’t feel embarrassed to wear it, anyway. From the front, it looks more like a hat, but from the back and sides it has more of a visor look to it. Honestly, if you want to look cute, you might want to buy a full hat. But because this is packable, I still think it’s a great investment. The velcro strap lets you wear it as tightly as you want it, for any sized head.

Best hat ever
I love this hat! You can’t tell to look at me, but through experimenting with different hats, I’ve learned that I have a big head – “one size fits all” hats are too tight on me, smush down my hair, and leave an ugly red impression line across my forehead when I take them off. The best thing about this hat is that it is truly adjustable. There is velcro in the back to adjust it to literally any size.I was looking for a wide-brimmed sun hat for everyday use that was also feminine and pretty – I did not want one of those Australian Outback, Crocodile Dundee type hats. And nothing too sporty either. This hat fits the bill in every way.I also love that it rolls up and I can stick it in my bag after the sun goes down, or for packing to go on vacation.And it’s nice that the brim does not flop down in front of your eyes. It holds its shape and stays where it should. I’ve had big floppy hats in the past (those cute J.Lo -type ones) where this was an issue.I wish there was a chin strap for windy days, but it’s not a big deal. I might try sewing one in.I guess the only downside is that your scalp is not protected from the sun in this hat. But I don’t mind because it’s worth it to me to have a truly adjustable, pretty, wide-brimmed sunhat. One can always dab some sunscreen along the part in one’s hair, or maybe wear a headscarf under the hat if you’ll be in the sun for a while. But for everyday use this isn’t a big concern.Highly recommend!

Perfect hat!
The perfect hat! So easy to roll it up so that you can carry it in your purse when you don’t need it. Great sun protection for your head and face, much better than a baseball cap or a bucket hat. Your face will thank you when you’re older!I own a black and white striped version that I bought somewhere else, as well as the black and white version they offer here. I recentlyAlso bought the “multi natural” and found that it was slightly more floppy that the prior two that I’ve owned and I can also see more light passing through the weave. If you try to look through the underside of the hat, you can see more with the multi natural hat, which means that sun can get through and you’re not getting quite as much sun protection.

I absolutely adore this hat/visor from the San Diego Hat Company! Receive lots of compliments and people inquiring about where I bought it. I wear hats throughout the year for sun protection. This one is perfect for when you’re wearing your hair up in a bun or a ponytail. It’s not hot like my baseball caps. It’s cute. It’s comfortable. It’s easy to put on. It’s easy to roll up and carry in your purse or bag. It doesn’t lose its shape. It’s available in lots of colors and I’m definitely going to purchase more. This is the one I bought (black/white). Definitely something to wear daily to protect your face from the sunshine. Of course, always remember to wear your sunscreen – preferably one with zinc. You will LOVE this visor! Trust.

I absolutely love this hat. I have bought similar hats from both Solbari and BedHead and the minute a gust of wind comes they are both useless. This hat handles the strong coastal Australian breezes. Buying my second one in case I lose my first as I walk everywhere. Had my first for about 6 months of everyday wear and still going strong – very happy customer : )

I wasn’t sure if I would like this hat but it turns out to be the most packable, sturdy and attractive sunhat I’ve bought in a while!! Just took it in my carry on down south and it holds its shape and tucks away easily. No more big awkward sunhats on my lap when i fly!!
